Things to Do

Enniskillen and its surrounding areas are filled with interesting and fun things to do. On our doorstep with have Enniskillen Castle and Museum, Florence Court (National Trust), Crom Castle (National Trust), Castle Coole (National Trust), and Marble Arch Caves.

There is also fun to be had out on the water, with a number of places to hire day boats, or for the more adventurous you can hire hydrobikes and eBoards.

Fishing

Enniskillen, and its Republic of Ireland neighbouring counties of Cavan and Leitrim offer the visiting angler some fantastic opportunities to catch fresh water fish. Within minutes from Inishmore Island B&B are sections of the river Erne and Lough Erne that can provide excellent sport for visiting anglers. Travelling further afield means that anglers can also enjoy the variety of fishing venues that both the North and South of Ireland have to offer. Gary is a keen fisherman and will gladly guide you as to where to fish.

We also offer groups of anglers visiting Inishmore Island B&B the opportunity of running their own "mini fishing festival" where different venues can be fished each day of your stay.

Walking

As keen walkers, we have firsthand experience of some wonderful walks in and around County Fermanagh. Some of our favourite walks (and there are many more other than those mentioned here) include the forest trails around Florence Court, Castle Archdale Country Park, Belmore Forest - Pollnagollum Cave Walk, Magho Cliffs (Lough Navar Forest), and Killykeen Forest Park (County Cavan)

Whilst Fermanagh is renowned for its lakelands, the first destination for any keen walker should be Cuilcagh Mountain, the highest summit in County Fermanagh, standing at 665m (2,181ft). However, we consider this a challenging walk and walkers need to be well prepared as weather conditions can change rapidly.

Within easy reach we  have Lough Erne Resort (Designed by Six time Major winner Nick Faldo), Enniskillen Golf Club, Castle Hume Golf Club (also part of the Lough Erne Resort), BlackLion Golf Club (County Cavan), and Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club (County Cavan).

Beaches

Inishmore Island B&B is only 45 minutes from the wild Atlantic Coast, which is very much worth a visit. There you will find wonderful beaches, with breath taking views, at Mullaghmore, Bundoran (very popular with the surfers), and Rossnowlagh (which also boasts a fantastic place to stop off for refreshments, and to watch the surfing, at Smugglers Creek Inn). Also a must see is Murvagh Beach, with its beautiful pine forest and sand dunes.
